Geographical Spread

Taypack procures crops from over 6,000 acres.  The majority of potatoes are bought within a 50 mile radius of our grading and packing facilities at Moncur, Inchture.   Not only are these potatoes grown in some of the very best soils in Angus, Perthshire and Fife, but, because of our excellent location, we are able to dramatically reduce excessive road miles and, therefore, reduce our environmental impact.

With Scotland’s rapidly changing climate and abundance of water, cooler temperatures and longer growing season it has become the preferred area of the UK to grow top quality potatoes in recent years.
